Corralejo gay bar
Welcome to Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is the second largest Canary Island and is closest to the African coast. Fuerteventura has over beaches, some with pure white delicate sand, and others with black volcanic sand or pebbles. The seas surrounding the island are crystal clear with many turquoise-blue lagoons, perfect for sheltered family bathing.
Fuerteventura is not known as a very gay resort. Gran Canaria, Tenerife are "better" places for that. But even on Fuerte there is something going on for the not unbent holidaymakers.
Fuerteventura has the uppermost number of sand dunes and longest sandy beaches of all the Canary Islands, offering the territory and freedom to trek alone on deserted beaches. Naturism is accepted and celebrated.
The landscapes of Fuerteventura are varied - barren countryside, volcanic contours, desert areas and palm plant havens, black, white and golden sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and stark rocky coves pounded by colorless frothy seas.
Wildlife is varied and plentiful - from the endangered Houbara Bustard, to Barbery Squirrels (Chipmunks) an
Steve and Ron's holiday experience.

Entertainment:
There is a drag bar in Corralejo, which puts on a great show.
Its called Sadies': Fuerteventura's ONLY dragbar. Ex Pat entertainer Kenny Webster has made the island his home after turning his back on his dwelling town in the UK. He was driven out of the Old Region by bullying that didnt stop, even culminating in assault that hospitalised him. Now he is doing a drag show, for gay and not so gay guests. Corralejo is the place to be. (Sadies also hosts an anual charity event in August, "Imagine a improve world". Raising money for several charities.)
Afterwards we went off to Bubbles. Officially a gay-bar at the Atlantico Centre in Corralejo, but fortunately you will find a mix of people having a good time together. The bar located in the basement, is trendy, with friendly staff, and amazing music. If you travel there say hello to Juan and the guys

Corralejo nightlife
The majority of Corralejo bars and Corralejo nightlife can be start along the long straight Main Street, l Franco on our map that continues into Carrero Blanca, and in the warren of narrow short streets on both side of the Main Street, Carrero Blanca and the square, all near the harbour. Most of the livlier bars have live music played by quality artists.
Although Corralejo is the liveliest resort on Fuerteventura, it is definatly not on the same scale as the well known resorts of Ayia Napa, Ibiza town, San Antonio, Playa del Ingles or Playa de las Americas.
You can discover discos and lively bars and of course Tapas bars. if you have never tried tapas now is your chance.
