Brisbane’s biggest and leading rainbow festival will come back to The Wickham Hotel on Sunday 1st May for its 22nd instalment. Closing down an inner-city street outside The Wickham for its main stage, Big Gay Day has evolved into one of Brisbane’s biggest street parties, and the festival will include a fabulous line-up of popstars, drag queens, musicians, and DJs.
Headlines acts for are Courtney Act and pop star Vanessa Amorosi, supported by a line up including Faker, DJ Glitter, Kinder, Jawbreakers.
This celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community also supports local charities, with a portion of the proceeds from the event benefiting Diverse Voices and 2Spirits.
“We are so proud of this fabulous celebration,” said Owen Bevan, Australian Venue Co Area Manager. “The Big Gay Event is not only a evening for the LGBTQIA+ and wider community to arrive together and enjoy incredible acts onstage and in The Wickham Hotel, but we raise tens of thousands of dollars for charities that really produce a difference.”

Brisbane’s biggest and best rainbow festival will be returning in for its 25th installment! Featuring musical acts, kingly extravaganzas and so much more rainbow love all in support of local LGBTQIA+ charities.
Established in as a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and a way to elevate vital funds for charities, Big Male lover Day has evolved to one of Brisbane’s biggest road parties. The event now closes down an inner capital street to release in an grand main stage, Great Gay Day brings an incredible line up of local, national & international LGBTQIA+ entertainers to Brisbane.
Hundreds of acts have graced the Big Gay Morning stage, including legends like Boy George, Sporty Spice and most recently, The Veronicas.
Big Gay Date saw over 3, people through the doors with a substantial donation raised for LGBTQIA+ help QLife. The stages were filled with incredible acts appreciate Melanie C (DJ Set), Sneaky Sound System, Lady Bunny, Tall Paul (UK) and a queenly extravaganza featuring over 30 of Brisbane’s best drag performers!
It&#;s that time of year again, Big Gay Day is here! The headline acts have been announced, including Courtney Act, Vanessa Amorosi and Faker.
As entertainment restrictions lift in Queensland we can&#;t wait to get back out and celebrate again.

After a brief rest from Mardi Gras, the international kingly superstar will be taking to the stage on May 1st.
What&#;s she going to do? Probably everything.
We know Courtney Act can sing, dance and act, honestly we wouldn&#;t be surprised if she can fire twirl and juggle as well.
