After 30 years of dancing, flamboyant shows and weekend fun, The Bottom Line is closing in Fort Myers.
The LGBT nightclub will shut its doors this Thursday, says longtime deejay Patrick Sweeney (aka DJ Kooshie). He blamed dwindling attendance for the closing of the sprawling Evans Avenue club.
“It’s been 30 years. It’s the end of an era,” Sweeney said Monday. “I consider it a blow to the LGBT community.
“I’ve always called it a shining beacon where everybody can move and be who they are or who they elect to be and can be accepted.”
